We dropped our first points at home this season going down 1 – 0 to Camps Bay. This was not the best of games with neither side really dominating or creating much scoring opportunities. We started off fairly brightly playing neat football, but never really creating much. Our best chance came from a free kick, when Wesley stuck his header wide of the target from a good position. We went in goalless at half time.
Camps Bay took the lead midway through the first half with a cracker of a goal. They played a ball into our box which we cleared and from about 10 metres outside the big box their midfielder struck a great shot into the right hand corner giving Duanne no chance. We spent the rest of the game looking for an equaliser and only came close once when Matthew Coetzee had his header cleared off the line. Camps Bay defended really well and deserved their victory.
