Bothasig Football Club presents a 5 a side football tournament commemorating Bothasig’s 50th yearcelebrations.

Time: 09H00 to 13H00
Requirements to enter a team in the 5 a side tournament:
1. TEAM REQUIREMENTS
Each team must consist of 8 team members only. (5 x adults, 2 x U 17’s, Minimum of 1 lady to represent each team.)
2. IDENTICAL DRESS
Each team member to be dressed in identical dress when taking part in any event (fancy dress also permitted i.e. Hobo dress)
3. FOOTWEAR
Track or Tennis shoes allowed. Under NO circumstances will Football Boots be allowed Points will be deducted from offenders
4. TEAM CAPTAINS
Each team captain is responsible for the conduct of his team & is requested to produce his side to the Organizers on the Team Sheet provided at least 20 minutes before their first game
5. DISCIPLINE
A yellow card system will be introduced in order to penalize offenders who continue to make use of dirty play. It cannot be stressed enough that this is a FUN tournament to be enjoyed by all. ONE YELLOW CARD automatically EXCLUDES that team member from the next game.
6. COST
R20.00 per player R160 per team of 8.
5A SIDE SOCCER
· The playing time consists of 2 halves of 7 minutes per half
· There is a 1minute time period allowed for the change over
· NO off side
· 8m circle for Goalkeeper hand play
· The 8m goal circle may be entered by the out players
· The penalty spot will be situated 8m from the goal
· The goalkeeper may only throw the ball out, no kicks allowed
Throw in’s not necessarily to be taken overhead, but both hands to be used at the throw in and both feet to be placed on the ground at the time of the throw. (i.e., underhand ok) Point’s : 2 (win) / 1 (Draw) / 0 (Loss)
